The Mar Thoma Church prides the fact it was established in A.D. 52, just about 1954 years by none less than the Apostle of Christ, Thomas.
Today however the Church has lost its vision and focus. I say it not with the malice and prejudice of one who had left the Church but that of one who has dedicated decades with the Church and now laments the lack of direction, vision and mission!
This blog, in my opinion should be a platform, which over time can become the voice of change the Church will have to listen too. Now days the mindless committees and episcopal synods without power sit and talk with no action.
It is been two thousand years since the Church was formed. It came to India, before it went to Europe. Yet, today the people in the Mar Thoma Church lack a sense of history and belongingness.
The Church does not accept the fact youths are leaving the Church is en mass. The Church Mandalam is a farce today and a joke. They play petty politics and forget that it is the Church that they have turned into a playground for their games of power, prestige and ego.
